Special Education

Special Programs

Exceptional children enrolled in HUSD receive a continuum of services, preschool-12, that meet federal guidelines for the Least Restrictive Environment. Certified teachers, school psychologists, speech/language, physical and occupational therapists serve students as outlined in their individual education program (IEP).  Additionally, our staff works with families and other agencies to create environments that help students with disabilities discover their unique abilities and succeed in their adult lives.
